WARD MANAGERS IN THE VOLTA REGION COMMEND EDMAT FOUNDATION

EDMAT Foundation has been commended by Ward Managers of Health Facilities in the Volta Region for its excellent performance and delivery at a management training programme in Ho.

The Management training programme was conducted by EDMAT Foundation under the auspices of the Volta Regional Directorate on 16th July 2024. Delivering on the topic “MANAGEMENT SKILLS FOR HEALTHCARE PRACTITIONERS” Dr. Robert Okyne, who is also the CEO of EDMAT Foundation gave a detailed insight into the components and functions in management and addressed crucial issues in the management of health facilities.


The training brought together representatives from various health facilities under the Regional Health Directorate which included Senior Nursing Officers, Principal Nursing Officers, Deputy Directors of Nursing Services, Senior Midwives, Deputy Chief Nursing, Officers and some administrative staff.

In a separate statement, the Volta Regional Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer (CNMO) Madam Faustina Asante emphasized the importance of such management skills training as a significant move in enhancing service delivery and urged participants to put into practice what they have acquired.

In a closing report read on behalf of the participants, Madam Stella Abena Apotchie observed that the content of the training was relevant to the hospital situation and that the training had addressed crucial issues faced by them in managing the various resources of their facilities.

EDMAT Foundation is a training organization accredited and certified as a Service Provider by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). Similar training programmes have been held for target groups at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital and Ridge Regional Hospital and will continue in other parts of the country.
